1. Explain what negotiation is. (25 marks)
2. Discuss the differences between joint problem solving and pure bargaining. (25 marks)
3. Describe what we need to know about the Other Party to strengthen our position in negotiation. (25 marks)
4. Set out the guidelines for making concessions in negotiation. (25 marks)

70 minutes was all it took. I generally have a love-hate relationship with short questions. While they are concise, they tend to be very ambiguous as well, without a hint of what the examiner is looking for, and how much elaboration is needed. It becomes a game of guesswork, and worse, giving the examiner more room for arbitration.

And moreover, how much can you write to a one-liner question? 15 pages? 15 lines seem more likely.

I’m so glad it’s over. And to reward myself I got Jessie to go down to Ikea with me. Thanks girl, for coming to pick me up and going down to Ikea for lunch! We then dropped the car back at her place, before taking a bus down to PS for spectrum meeting. I was so tired, i dozed off in her car, and then on the bus. Sheesh. The things she does for me, among other favours, make me feel… bad. =/

This week should be by far the busiest. With casting and meetings galore, I need some time to myself. I hope I do.
